On the front, the 5-inch display sits beneath what Sony calls a shatter proof and scratch resistant glass, giving it a very shiny look. The same glass is also on the back, which adds some serious shine to the phone. The left side spine has the micro SD card slot and the USB port. The top has the 3.5mm headphone jack. The 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snap dragon S4 Pro processor on board the Sony Xperia Z is the same quad-core processor. There is 2 GB of RAM to help it along. The Sony Xperia Z is a 1080p HD resolution display. There’s a 4G cellular connectivity and 16GB of built-in storage, which can be augmented using micro SD cards. The Xperia Z comes with Android 4.1.2 on board and Sony says that the 4.2 update will roll out soon. A new range of wallpapers and themes is welcome. If you’re keen to take advantage of the phone’s 4G power, bear in mind that the only network provider in the UK to support the service currently is EE. The Xperia Z comes preloaded with all of Google’s core apps, including Chrome, Play Store, You Tube, Maps, Messenger, Google+, Search, Talk, Play Movies & TV, Play Books, Play Magazines, and Local. Others apps such as Movie Studio, Track ID, Play Now, Office Suite, Sony Car, Wise pilot for XPERIA, Update Center, WALKMAN and Notes. 
Battery life offered by this 2330mAh battery is fairly adequate to get you through a day at work. The Sony Xperia Z is auto brightness taking care of the outdoors. You can use the Stamina Mode, which by default, turns off data when the display goes off.
